I'm really looking at the Chief

My 1997 Harley sportster went from running great one night & wouldn’t start the next,I’ve put a new battery, have new spark plugs & fresh 91 fuel but it still won’t start. going to replace the coil later today & see if that’ll fix the issue

Cool bike. The only thing I would want to "switch" to are chrome wire spoke wheels. IMO the wheels on the Switchback are not at all attractive. I used to think the same thing about the Sportglide, though its wheels are really not bad, just a bit too much for my taste. P.S. If you can, you should keep it as a 'workhorse,' everyday bike.

Do you think 10,500 is a decent price for a scout rogue sixty? Is it a good bike for a beginner? Did you notice that steep curbs were an issue when riding? I have a kinda steep curb in my driveway.

How would he know if there was any buffiting he never went over 40 mph.

The 5th gear on the 60 and the 6th gear on the Scout are the same final gear ratio. The normal Scout has the same gear ratio in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd and 6th gear as the 60. The 5th gear on the normal Scout is an in between gear ration of the 60's 4th and 5th gear.

In parking spaces i park as far back as possible to avoid being rear ended by a car. One morning i came out of my apartment complex to find my bike absolutely mangled because someone plowed into it overnight. Better believe that morning I knocked on every single door of that apartment complex to find out "nobody saw anything"

I can never relate to people's enthusiasm for the complete (or near complete) lack of vibration in a bike. I ride a Sportster 1200 and if it ever lost its "shake," I'd lose it (the bike) ! And if and when I buy another bike, the only thing that is certain is that it will not be 'smooth' . . . pretty much a certainty given it would almost certainly be a Dyna or pre-18 Softail. Long live the SHAKE SHAKE SHAKE !

Nice bike. The only things I'd change are the wheels (for chrome wire spoke wheels) and the windshield (for an original OEM version). Oh, and, if possible, the headlight for a regular headlight (like on most other models).

First rode a friend's Sportster in early '70s and loved it. Vowed someday I would own one. Now almoast 50 years later, I bought a 2020 Iron 883 and LOVE it!! Planning on the 1200 conversion soon.

Nice video. I put an LED bulb in my 2014 super duke and had the same issue with no low beam lol. I just use high beam if I’m out at night wich I never am. I’ll have to pick up one of this crystal vision ones. Thanks

Cockpit is too bare bones.Needs full instrumentation in there instead of that cheesy digital display imo.

Wow bro that was not good opening to ride. Check the friction before you move man motorcycle riding 101 been riding for 42 years. That was a rookie mistake. Glad it worked out and did not tip over. I wrote 10 one recently had zero issue with the clutch.

I don't like fairings ether, I get too much cross wind, on coast roads in Ireland. It blocks my vision on these tiny roads too. I don't like how wind shields, mess with my vision in the rain and darkness, because we get lots of both. Open front-end for me.

Nowhere to put a girl

The hamburger icon (three horizontal lines) is where you change the ride modes. Just rode it yesterday for a demo day, right after a Sport Chief. Was convinced I'd be getting the Sport Chief, and now nope, I'm getting a 101. Coming from a naked sport bike (CB1000R), it is great in sport mode! Was actually tucking and felt very flickable. All the cool things of a sports bike without my back killing me 30mins into a ride.

How about a once over on how the bike works before you ride and not waste our time with your complaining.

Hey bud your probably a great guy but your riding is like your speaking your stuttering all over the place...give a bike some revs and try get your words down with confidence. Maybe you just had an off day.

Who doesn't review friction and familiarize themselves with ride command before moving off the lot? This review left me with more questions than answers.

I rode it on friday. Didnt have a problem with the clutch. I thought the bike was excellent. Bike did have a broken brake lever

I stock the battery inside the helmet in a spot that is more of a void so it’s not pressing against any spot on my head.

Can I use a 50 amp fuse when the wiring diagram I got is calling for a 30?

A windshield is a must as you age, in your 50s and beyond. In my 20s, I wouldn't have been caught riding with one. Today, at 70 plus, riding without a windshield on a cruiser is very tiring, not to mention difficult on both neck and shoulders.

I just pulled the trigger on on of these. Ironically, I borrowed a Sport Glide while it's being finalized and what a boring bike in comparison.

What coil does a 87 sporters take? Someone said a 3 ohm? Does it have a 1200 motor or a 883?

Before using it you need to calibrate it. Hold power button for 15 seconds then after some beep sounds turn it off and turn it back on and if it balanced by itself it means you calibrated it
